NEWS NOTES

Place 400 Not Going Residential 🏢

Place 400 in Saint John’s north end has been sold, but forget about turning it into condos. New owner R2 Capital is keeping it all business, offering local companies bargain-basement leasing rates.

With future upgrades on the way, this could be the perfect chance to snag office space at a serious discount. Early tenants not only save big but also score first dibs on prime spots as the building gets its much-needed glow-up.

New Out of the Cold Shelter Opens

A vital new shelter is officially open. Fresh Start’s Out of the Cold Shelter at 94 Rothesay Avenue began welcoming guests on Friday evening. This 60-bed facility will operate daily from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. through April 2025, with plans to stay open 24 hours during extreme weather.

Meanwhile, the Homeless Hub at 100 Waterloo Street continues to provide round-the-clock support. Fresh Start credits the Provincial Government and the City of Saint John for helping make this emergency winter response a reality.
