NEWS NOTES
š£ Temporary Opening of Barricades at Renforth Wharf
Good news if you were dreaming of spending the weekend in an ice shack! The barricades at Renforth Wharf will be temporarily opened today and tomorrow from 10 AM to 4 PM to allow ice fishing shacks to get set up. Just a heads-up, only ATVs are allowed to tow shacks onto the ice, so leave the cars and trucks behind. As always, be cautious and respect the ice! For more details on ice fishing, check out this guide from the province.

š Whatās Better Than a Fresh Mani? A Fresh Mani with a Killer View
Self-care is great. But self-care with panoramic views of the Saint John River? Now weāre talking. Thatās exactly what Waterās Edge Aesthetics is serving up in South Bay, where Jessica Watters-Roy has turned the upper floor of her brand-new garage into a salon thatās as stylish as your freshly polished nails.
Jessica, whoās co-owned Tahiti Tanning & Aesthetics for 19 years, wanted to work closer to home, so she built the ultimate beauty escape at 768 Bay Street. Her team is ready to pamper you with manicures, pedicures, waxing, gel extensions, and more, all while you sip coffee and soak in the view.
Want a vibe check? Swing by their open house on February 8 from 12-3pm for snacks, door prizes, and a tour of your new favourite beauty spot.
š» Craft, Sip, Sell: Foghorn Brewing Wants You
Got a side hustle? A knack for making cool stuff? Maybe a skill youād love to teach? Foghorn Brewing is looking for local artisans and workshop hosts to take part in their spring pop-up market series, Saturdays from 1-4 PM at their taproom. You get a free space, a 6ft table, and promo on their socials. All you need to bring is your goods, your talent, and maybe a tablecloth.
Whether you're selling handmade crafts, tasty treats, or leading a hands-on workshop (because learning pairs well with a cold brew), they still have slots open March through May. Sound like a good fit? Email [email protected] to snag your spot.
