In addition to winter tires, AutoTec is proud to offer their "You See What We See" inspection. Using tablets to record detailed inspections, they share the findings with you, ensuring transparency and trust. This special offer empowers you to understand your vehicle's condition fully.
Don’t wait until the first snowfall—visit AutoTec today for a consultation and make sure your vehicle is ready for winter. Stay safe on the roads this season and enjoy peace of mind with AutoTec, where your safety is their priority!
NEWS NOTES
Nuclear Emergency Exercise
No need to worry—this is only a test! Synergy 2024, a full-scale emergency preparedness exercise, begins today at Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. NB Power, together with the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization (NBEMO), is running the drill to test coordinated responses among government agencies and partners in the unlikely case of a nuclear emergency. Expect a bit more activity at locations like the Saint John emergency operations center today and tomorrow. This exercise, held every three years, ensures everyone stays safe and prepared. Provincial Housing Market Increase
Is it still a seller’s market in the Port City? Kinda. September’s real estate report shows 811 homes sold across New Brunswick last month, a slight increase from a year ago. But in Saint John, sales dropped by 7.3%. Meanwhile, the average home price across the province nudged up to $310,000. While it could still favor sellers, experts say we’re inching closer to a balanced market. (CHSJ)
Accessible Transit Update
Saint John Paratransit has a new name and some new wheels! Formerly SJ Paratransit, the rebrand reflects citizen feedback, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity. Now operated by the non-profit Independence Plus, the service gives those unable to use regular transit routes a stylish ride in a brand-new Crestline accessible bus. Running six days a week, it’s expanding in 2025 with added features like automated stop announcements. For details on accessible transit, call Saint John Customer Service at (506) 658-4455.
