âď¸ Winterfest Fumble â Correct Link for Rockwood Glows
We shared details about Rockwood Glows in yesterdayâs issue but accidentally included the wrong linkâŚoops! Big thanks to Brian Cleveland for pointing that out. Hereâs the correct one to get all the info. If youâd like to preregister for some of the activities you can click here.
Ya know parking is gonna be an issue, so here are some tips: Parking is limited at the top of Lake Drive South, but additional space is available at the Fisher Lakes Parking Lot with a free shuttle running from 4:00-7:30pm. Accessible parking is availableâjust speak to staff at the checkpoint for assistance.

Third Shift is back, and theyâre accepting submissions for the 2025 festival! This yearâs theme, âRevolve,â invites artists to explore cycles, change, and the constant motion of life through public art.
Applications are open until March 8, 2025! Whether you're just starting or a seasoned pro, Third Shift welcomes all mediums. Itâs your chance to showcase your work in Saint Johnâs outdoor spaces. Need help applying? Info sessions and support are available. Get the details and apply now.

If Winterfest isnât your jam, thereâs still lots to do this weekend. Here are a few cool things to check out.
FRIDAY
Five & Dime 80s Party Happy Hour | January 31
Crank up the neon and break out the Aqua NetâFive & Dime is throwing an 80s party to start the weekend early. DJ Jody will be spinning throwback hits while you sip $5 highballs, $6 microbrews, and house wine. Dig out your best retro look, grab your crew, and hit the dance floor from 4-7pm. Big hair encouraged, but not required.
Star Viewing Party | January 31
Gaze up at the wonders of the night sky with the Saint John Astronomy Club at Dutch Point Park. Telescopes will be set up in the parking lot at Ronald Mahoney Field for a stellar evening of stargazing. Dress warmly and keep an eye on the forecastâif the weather doesnât cooperate, the event moves to February 1. Runs from 6:30-8:30pm.
Art Battle Saint John | January 31
Watch creativity unfold in real time as artists go head-to-head in a live painting showdown at the Kent Theatre. With just 20 minutes on the clock, theyâll turn blank canvases into masterpiecesâwhile you vote for the winner! Every piece is up for grabs in a silent auction, so you could take home a fresh work of art. Doors at 7:30pm, painting starts at 8:15pm.

Cedarcrest Gardens Winter Market | February 1
Escape the cold and step into a cozy greenhouse filled with local arts, crafts, and delicious food at Cedarcrest Gardens. This winter market runs every Saturday, and is the perfect chance to browse unique finds and soak in the warm atmosphere. Open 9am-2pm.
Fort La Tour History Talk | February 1
Step back in time and explore the story of Fort BeausĂŠjour, Fort Menagoueche, and the French garrisons of 1745-1763. Historian Greg Fekner will dive into the lives of the French Marines, their recruitment, and the legendary Capt. Charles Deschamps de BoishĂŠbert. This engaging session brings to life the era of the Seven Years' War and Le Grand DĂŠrangement. Free event at the Saint John Free Public Library, 11-11:45am.
Taste of Lebanon After Sunset | February 1
Experience an evening of surprise and authentic Lebanese cuisine at LebanOn The Go. This intimate dining event will unveil a never-before-seen menu, revealed only upon arrival, featuring an appetizer, salad, main course, and three mystery desserts. Doors open at 7pm at 101 Prince William Street. Tickets are $50âreserve your spot now!
Signal Hill Live | February 1
Atlantic Canadaâs favorite show band is hitting the Kent Theatre for one night only!
