🧤 Cold Enough to Hurt and Gloves Are in Short Supply
It’s cold out there, right? With wind chills hitting -31°C today, frostbite is no joke. Now, imagine facing that without gloves or warm boots. For many in Saint John, that’s their reality.
Outflow Ministry is doing what it can to help, but their 24-hour shelter and drop-in center are out of gloves, boots, and warm pants. Gloves are the most urgently needed.
Got a pair to spare? Swing by 100 Waterloo St., Mon-Fri, 9-4pm. It’s a small ask with a huge impact.
✈️ Art Show Takes Flight at YSJ
Ready for a layover in creativity? Starting January 31, the Saint John Airport (YSJ) will be home to YSJ: Home, a vibrant art exhibit by the talented artists of L’Arche Creative Connections. Featuring 16 local artists, the exhibit celebrates Saint John’s iconic views and the spaces that bring us together. It’s more than just a show — it’s a celebration of community, connection, and the true meaning of home.
Join the opening on Friday, January 31, from 1-2 p.m. at YSJ, and catch the exhibit through mid-April. Whether you’re flying in, flying out, or doing the dreaded airport run for a loved one, take a moment to reflect on what home means to you.

🏒 Big Hockey Weekend in Saint John
This weekend, Saint John’s got hockey fever! The Denis-Cormier Hockey Tournament is taking over three local rinks — Stewart Hurley, Peter Murray, and Lord Beaverbrook — before wrapping up with the finals at TD Station. It’s going to be a full weekend of high school teams battling it out for the Denis-Cormier Cup, with the AAA finals Sunday at 4 p.m. and AA finals at 6 p.m. Don’t miss the action — local hockey, local pride, and all the ice time you can handle! The tournament honours Denis Cormier, a beloved figure in the community known for his dedication to youth hockey. (CHSJ)

Open House for North End Secondary Plan | January 22

This is a great opportunity to provide input, voice concerns, and hear updates directly from City representatives. FUNDY WINTERFEST
It’s week two of Fundy Winterfest, and we’re heading to St. Martins for a weekend packed with winter fun! From chilly plunges to glow-in-the-dark skating, there’s something for everyone. You can check out the full list of events here, but here’s what we’re most excited about:

Saturday - 9:00am at the Fundy Bay
Shake off the winter blues with a quick dip in the chilly waters of Fundy Bay! It’s not for the faint of heart, but the thrill (and the hot cocoa afterwards) make it worth it.

Catch the action as teams hit the rink in the Fundy Winterfest Regional Hockey Tournament! Cheer on your favorite team and enjoy the energy of the weekend games.

Grab your phone and explore St. Martins! Join the digital scavenger hunt to snap pictures of scenic spots around town. It’s a fun way to discover new places and challenge yourself to find them all.

Put your skills to the test in this fun challenge! See if you can get your puck closest to the center of the rink and win some prizes.
💡 Glow-in-the-Dark Skate

Skate under the stars and neon lights in this glow-in-the-dark skating session. Perfect for families, friends, and anyone who loves a little extra sparkle on the ice!
🔥 Gather ‘Round the Fire
