Pedway Delay 🚶♀️
Those pesky walls are sticking around a bit longer at the Saint Patrick Street pedway, delaying the new staircase and elevator linking City Hall and Market Square. Construction hiccups mean pedestrians will keep taking the outdoor route until later this year. But here’s the silver lining - businesses like Rocky’s Sports Bar and the Canada Games Aquatic Centre are still open and ready for you as construction continues. That’s cool, just make sure it’s open before it gets too cold! (City of Saint John)
Game On, Hampton! 🏅
The wait is over, Hampton’s new regional multipurpose centre is officially on its way. This soon-to-be recreational hub will feature an NHL-sized rink with seating for 500, a year-round walking track, multipurpose room, and outdoor patio space. With funding from all levels of government, a $4 million fundraising campaign is now underway—your chance to make your mark on Hampton’s newest landmark. If all goes smoothly, we’ll be lacing up for that big, shiny rink by next fall! (Town of Hampton)
